Reckless and negligent driving has contributed to the increase in fatal accidents reported in the past few days.
MEC Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya has sent messages of condolences to the families of the four people who died last night.
The MEC is also urging motorists to ensure that their vehicles are roadworthy before they embark on long trips this festive season. The number of pedestrians who are continually killed by speeding vehicles is a cause for concern.
