Police arrest five alleged armed robbers and recover stolen properties

Five armed suspected robbers who committed a business robbery at one of the Supermarkets in Burgersfort CBD, Limpopo have been arrested. The robbers were traveling in two motor vehicles on Saturday, 15 January 2022.
This follows collaborative efforts and prompt response of different police units. resulted in the arrest of five suspects for the alleged business robbery that took place in Burgersfort on Saturday, 15 January 2022.

Members of the Burgersfort Tactical Response Teams (TRT) were then activated. Information was received that the suspects took the direction of the Graskop area in Mpumalanga.
BURGERSFORT ARMED ROBBERS NABBED
The Mpumalanga Provincial TRT members were also activated. One of the vehicles, (Toyota Bakkie) with two occupants was spotted in this area. The suspects attempted to evade the arrest but the members gave chase and succeeded in apprehending them.
During the arrest, an undisclosed amount of cash, believed to be the one robbed. This also includes a 9mm pistol with live rounds of ammunition were confiscated.
