Polokwane drug dealer sentenced to eight years imprisonment

The Polokwane High Court has sentenced drug dealer Magome Andries Motale (33) to eight years imprisonment for dealing in drugs.
On 31 August 2018, the Limpopo Hawk’s Serious Organised Crime Investigation members received a tip-off about a drug storage facility near China City, outside Polokwane and followed it up.
A rented storage room was identified and a search warrant was executed.

Upon searching the storage room, Nyaope and Heroin drugs were found. While the Hawks members were busy searching, Motale came driving a blue Citi Golf with two other men.
A DRUG DEALER SENTENCED IN POLOKWANE
The vehicle was also searched and more drugs were found as well as the key to the identified drugs storage room. Motale and the other two men were arrested for dealing in drugs but the duo was later acquitted.
The total value of the seized drugs is R2 million. Motale was found guilty and sentenced in terms of the Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act 140 of 1992.
The defence attorney tried unsuccessfully to appeal against the sentence.
