MEC Rodgers Monama hands over 44 Bizniz in a Box

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA), in collaboration with the Limpopo Economic Development Environment and Tourism (LEDET) led by MEC Rodgers Monama handed over 44 Bizniz in a Box (BiB) solutions to young entrepreneurs in the province.

Each BiB is a custom-designed and equipped containerized business solution from which an entrepreneur is able to provide a range of business services to their local community. These can include internet cafés, car washes, fast-food shops, and mini bakeries.

The successful beneficiaries are from various corners within Limpopo, including Lebowakgomo, Mookgopong, Mokopane, Thohoyandou and Modimolle.

“It therefore pleases me to be part of this progressive occasion today,” Monama told those who attended the event.

“Young black people in Limpopo have benefited from Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa by being owners of uniquely designed and adequately equipped mobile businesses in a Box.

“We have long admitted that rebuilding the economy will require consolidated efforts. From both the Private and the Public Sector. This Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa and LEDET partnership is a clear indication that our people are at the centre of all our developmental and economic reconstruction processes.”

WHAT IS BIZNIZ IN A BOX

Bizniz in a Box is a custom-designed shipping container. From which CCBSA established its Biz in a Box initiative which directly fosters sustainable development of township and rural businesses. This is by upskilling and supporting youth and female entrepreneurs in particular in underprivileged communities.

Since inception in 2015. The Bizniz in a Box has empowered and trained over 800 young entrepreneurs across South Africa. It has assisted over 400 to grow their businesses. Each BiB beneficiary attends a four-week workshop during which time they receive critical skills training in business studies. Including financial planning and marketing.
