No stopping Limpopo singer Miss j-Tee from realising her dreams

She is known to her fans as Jayler Tee Miss j-Tee, whose real name is Tsiko Mudau from Ha-Manavhela village outside Vuwani in the Collins Chabane Municipality, Limpopo. Jayler Tee Miss j-Tee discovered her writing skills and rapping talent while she was in grade 10.

The 25-year-old singer-songwriter began singing at an early age and participated in church choirs.

Her vocal skill, like that of many musicians, was found and developed in the church from 2010 to 2013. In 2014, her passion was realised.

Her enthusiasm for music expanded swiftly in 2014, and she began creating songs in 2021 when she recorded her first piano songs, Stay and Mutambo, produced by Big Ropza She collaborated with other artists such as Aloe Pie and DJ Buzzy.

“The artist I wish to work with is Nkosazana’s daughter because she inspires me,” she told this publication.

“If I were given a chance to change something in the music industry. I would invent an intellectual and learning programme. To voice out about all the effects. Have a breaker down on certain topics like drug abuse, depression, anxiety, and fear altogether with the influence in the society to be mentally fit so that every artist can be physically fit in delivering healing to the people with a free spirit,” said Mudau.

MORE PROJECTS MUDAU IS INVOLVED IN

She said she has worked with community radio station Vuwani FM as a producer and presenter on Ria Vuwa. Also as a standby on Rudzani Mbilu, and once off on a Saturday show called Jam Jam Love.

In June 2021, she was allowed to host a show named Our Youth on Ntumbu Mapfura Online Radio.

In January 2022, she was invited to be a co-host and presenter on the Venda podcast.

Tsiko took a part in the international online competition called Glitz models after launching an online competition for models to be the face of Give-Grand Intellectual Venda. To groom young models to be influencers; one of the models received the title of becoming Miss Limpopo Heritage, establishing her as a strong leader. She is continuing in uplifting other models as well, Mudau Tsiko is the brand ambassador of Kimmychickfashion Festival Kenya 2023

She was a background artist in the film Afrika, as well as a background artist in Muvhango soapie for exploration.

Jayler Tee Miss j-Tee, is currently working with the Limpopo Home Cinema behind the scenes on Continuity. She is also training on writing scripts.

“I found it easy working with the Limpopo Home Cinema, it’s the best experience ever. The challenges I come across as a female artist, writer, presenter, MC, model, actor and influencer are funding projects, mental health, discrimination, promoting your projects, music and events.

“Publishing delays finding the right platform for publishing and advertising is sometimes hard. So, it becomes a challenge altogether with high competition depresses to a point where sometimes I need to change the way of doing things. Try a new approach because everyone wants to win after all so that’s the challenges I face mostly,” she said.
