A Limpopo born entrepreneur Talifhani Tshitwamulomoni [29] has made it to the exclusive list of the continent’s brightest and most prospective game-changers, Forbes Africa 30 under 30 class of 2023. Tshitwamulomoni, who hails from the Vhembe District, is the Chief Operation Officer of the Green Development Foundation. He was chosen in the category of sustainability.
The Forbes Magazine released the list earlier this week to celebrate young people they believe are “tomorrow’s titans”.

The finalists were selected from a pool of over a thousand applicants, ranging from entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders.

Out of the 30 people chosen, South Africa has 11 young innovators on the list. The 30 young Africans will meet in Botswana later this month at a summit together with the others selected from other continents.

The Vondo-born Limpopo entrepreneur is elated by the recognition.

“The opportunities that come with being on the list is quite big particularly for us who are doing Sustainability work,” he told Limpopo Chronicle.

“So I feel very honoured and assured that Forbes has just put a stamp on the work that we have been doing. They are actually just recognizing the work that we have been doing for the past nine years. So it really gives us pride and value to realise that we have been doing well,” he said.

WHAT IS GREEN DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION?

Green Development Foundation is a non-profit organization that is based in Gauteng but has footprints nationally. They do Agriculture and food security programs, Environmental Conservation and skills development targeting mainly young people.
