Uncle arrested for toddler’s murder in Limpopo

A 55-year-old uncle was arrested on Sunday for the murder of a toddler who happens to be his niece in Limpopo. The alleged incident happened at Thabampshe Village in the Sekhukhune district.

The two-year-old boy was brutally killed when his “drunk” uncle allegedly smashed his head against the floor.

The Man allegedly came home drunk on Sunday evening and argued with the boy’s mother.

UNCLE ARRESTED FOR TODDLER MURDER

The Boy succumbed to the injuries on arrival at the hospital due to the head injuries. The man was later arrested by Police for the Limpopo toddler murder.

LIMPOPO DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT CONCERNED

The Department of Social Development in Limpopo has also expressed sadness over the incident.

Its Spokesperson Joshua Kwapa says it is unacceptable for a toddler who could not play any role in any form of dispute to end up losing their life.

“People need to see the intervention of social workers when they are unable to resolve their domestic disputes. In this incident, we trust that Justice shall be served and that the perpetrator shall receive the harshest possible sentence.”
