To date, six AmafanDayz activations have taken place since the start of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season. They were held in Stellenbosch, Cape Town, Hammarsdale, Johannesburg and Atteridgeville.

HOW TO WIN DURING THE AMAFANDAYZ COMPETITION?

To win the R200,000 cash prize during halftime of the seventh installment of the competition, diski fans will have to perform like previous winners such as Letsie Sekhonyane. He scored his penalty kick against Sicelo Buthelezi from the telenovela Gomora and walked away as the Fan of the Match in Atteridgeville last week.

To enter the competition, fans are encouraged to visit the DStv activation zone inside the stadium. They then sign up with DStv promoters to stand a chance to be one of three participants in a sudden death penalty shootout until there is one winner against a DStv star.

On the eve of the AmaFanDayz match, DStv will host an AmaFanDayz roadshow. Local fans will be given an opportunity to win match tickets and branded merchandise. To also have a meet and greet with football legends and DStv stars.

Meanwhile, Polokwane City will be looking to bounce back to winning ways after going five matches without a win. Rise and Shine have also recently parted ways with coach Lehlohonolo Seema who has crossed the floor to Sekhukhune United. They are currently eight on the log, one place behind Chiefs.

Chiefs on the other hand are coming from a 1-0 win against Moroka Swallows in the Soweto Derby. Their away record has not been impressive after winning only two in six matches.

Mokopane-born football fan Pravin Ngwepe took home R100, 000 as he became the latest winner in the second instalment of the AmaFanDayz competition. Ngwepe won the prize money as Cape Town City came back from a goal down to beat Cape Town Spurs 3-1 in the iKapa Derby last Saturday.

Ngwepe, who now resides in the Mother City owing to work, is now a fully-fledged Citizens fan. He was rewarded for supporting his local side in City and scoring on the pitch through the AmaFanDayz halftime competition.

For his success, Ngwepe left the DHL stadium R100 000 richer. Had he been an active DStv Compact subscriber or higher, he could have doubled their prize to R200 000.

“I’m thrilled to have won this prize and grateful that my support for City has been rewarded so handsomely like this. I still need to sit and think how best I can use these winnings. I’ll see how I can also assist my family financially from this, especially my sisters, who are still studying,” said Ngwepe.

The competition now moves to the coastal town of Hammarsdale, just outside Durban. Golden Arrows hosts Kaizer Chiefs at the Mpumalanga stadium on 28 October where a third Fan of the Match winner will be revealed.

To enter the competition, fans are encouraged to get match tickets. Visit the DStv activation zone inside the stadium, and then sign up with DStv promoters to stand a chance to be one of three participants in a sudden death penalty shootout against a DStv star.

On match day, fans who sign up for the AmaFanDayz competition will receive a blue ticket which gives them access into the Blue Zone, a demarcated seating area which offers entertainment and free merchandise.
