Talented Capricorn FM Afternoon driver presenter Ndivho Makhwanya is leaving the station to join Metro FM, Limpopo Chronicle has learnt. Makhwanya, who recently turned 25, joined Limpopo’s only commercial radio station nine months ago through a presenter search initiative. 

A few months down the line, Makhwanya is now a presenter of one of the station’s biggest shows, Capricorn Drive weekdays between 15:00-18:00 alongside Dee Nkomo. She also presents the Urban Hot 40 on Saturdays between 10:00-14:00.

This publication has now gathered that Makhwanya is serving a notice until 31 October 2023 before her big move is revealed. Staff members at Capricorn FM have already been informed of her imminent departure by the programmes manager Prudence Mabasa.

“The first presenter search yielded talented presenters like Ms Ndivho Makhwanya who has been with us for about 9 months now. We have watched her grow and had hoped that we had more time with her, however, she will be embarking on a new adventure. She is currently serving her notice and will do her last show on the 31St of October. Ms Makhwanya we wish you well on your new adventure,” read a communique sent to staff members last week.

TALENTED PRESENTER SECURE METRO FM GIG?  

Makhwanya who hails from Manini village in the Vhembe District previously worked for community radio station Choice FM. She used to present the Driver on Choice FM from Monday to Friday, 14:00-18:00 as well as the Vodacom Next Level Top 20 on Saturday mornings from 10:00-14:00.

Meanwhile, Capricorn FM has also announced that entries for this year’s talent search are open.
