Kgoši Tseke Kgopotso Marishane V of Moroangoato Traditional Council was officially inaugurated on Friday at Ga-Marishane Village, in the Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality.

The ceremony was graced and presided over by the MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements, and Traditional Affairs (Coghsta) in Limpopo, Basikopo Makamu.

He was installed in the presence of community members, esteemed guests, and dignitaries. This includes Minister Dr Joe Phaahla, Minister in the Presidency, Ms Maropene Ramokgopa, and Sekhukhune Executive Mayor Minah Bahula. Makhuduthamaga Mayor Merah Mahlase, Council Speaker Judy Mphelane. ANC NEC member Dr Namane Dickson Masemola, ANC Regional Secretary Tala Mathope ‘Ngwato, Queen Manyaka Thulare, Kgoši Mokoena, Kgoši Malekutu Mampuru, Kgošigadi Masemola, Kgoši Rammupudu, Kgoši Maila Mathabeng, Royal Family of Mandela, Royal Bapedi Kingdom royals together with dignitaries across the South Africa.

MEC Basikopo Makamu emphasised the importance of traditional leadership in promoting unity, culture, and development within communities.

The occasion also served as a platform for engaging in discussions on the role of traditional leadership in modern era. Community development initiatives, and also the preservation of cultural heritage.
