Police in Tshilwavhusiku have activated a massive manhunt for a group of suspects who shot and killed a Security guard before driving away in his company car. The incident took place on Sunday, 27 August 2023 at 19:30 at Madombidzha Zone 4.

According to information, the Security guard was on duty driving in a company car, a Nissan NP200 with registration FHW045L. The vehicle was parked next to a spaza shop when he was shot dead by a group of unknown suspects who drove off with a security company vehicle.

The Police were notified about the incident. On arrival with emergency services, the victim was found lying in a pool of blood. Police seized the empty cartridges and live ammunition. The victim was pronounced dead by the EMS and identified as Vincent Sivhada aged 34.

The vehicle was later found abandoned on Monday, 28 August 2023 between Tshiozwi and Madombidzha village. A case of murder and carjacking has also been opened.

Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe condemned the incident. She has called the Community to assist Police with information that can lead to the apprehension of the suspects.
