The Mankweng Ladies Football Club will be jetting off to Mauritius for the launch of elderly ladies’ football. The club received an official send-off from Polokwane Executive Mayor Makoro John Mpe on Tuesday. 

Mpe is a staunch advocate for community empowerment through sports. He took the opportunity to wish the team well on their upcoming journey with heartfelt encouragement.

The Executive Mayor Mpe’s support didn’t stop there. He also presented the team with four footballs and a complete soccer kit, courtesy of the Limpopo Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture.

Mpe also reaffirmed his commitment to the team’s cause by arranging transport to ensure a smooth journey to and from the airport.

EXCITING JOURNEY TO MAURITIUS BY THE MANKWENG LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB 

The Mankweng Ladies will depart for Mauritius from Thursday, 26 April to April 29.
